Jordan Davis plays defensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League professionally. He is 152 kg and 1.98 m tall. Prior to transferring as a junior to Mallard Creek High School, where he started playing football, he first attended Hopewell High School. Despite receiving offers from other universities, he decided to play collegiate football at Georgia.
He played collegiate football at the University of Georgia for the Georgia Bulldogs. He made 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 11 games as a true freshman, made four starts, and was selected to the SEC All-Freshman team and a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.
In his second season, he made 18 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. While compiling 16 tackles and a sack during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season, he helped his team win the 2021 Peach Bowl. In his best season, as a senior, he made 32 tackles, two sacks, and scored a running touchdown.
During the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Davis was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 13th overall pick. After the draft, he settled on a four-year, $17 million deal with the Eagles, the whole sum of which was guaranteed. A $9.55 million signing bonus was included in the agreement.
