He was the Eagles’ offensive lineman who allowed the fewest sacks, only 7, during the whole 2020 season.

His 502 pass-pro snaps gave him a pass-pro snaps per sack score of 71.7, which put him in first place among offensive lineman for the Eagles. Mailata was selected as the starting left tackle for the next NFL season by Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni in August 2021. A four-year, $64 million deal with the Eagles was inked by Mailata in September 2021.
