Jordan Tyler Whitehead, a football player, is a member of the National Football League’s New York Jets. He steps into the role of safety. He attended Central Valley High School in Monaca, Pennsylvania. He participated in football and track. Since his first season, he has started each game while playing for Central Valley on both sides of the ball.



In his final season, he amassed 471 passing yards on 24 attempts and 1,933 rushing yards on the ground. His outstanding season included 97 tackles, seven interceptions, 35 touchdowns, and 97 tackles. He participated in collegiate football with the University of Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh Panthers.

In 2015, Whitehead participated in all 13 of Pittsburgh’s games, starting the last 12. Along with winning the Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year accolades from the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association, he was also named to the USA Today All-American Team, the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year, and the ACC All-Conference Third Team.




He declared his plan to forego his senior year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft after the 2017 season. His selection came in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his Super Bowl LV effort, Whitehead recorded two lone tackles. He agreed to a two-year, $14.5 million contract with the New York Jets in March 2022.
