José Enrique Azócar is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball. He was born on May 11, 1996. (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022.

In October of 2012, Azocar became a member of the Detroit Tigers organization after signing with them as an international free agent.

In 2013, he made his debut in the professional ranks by playing for the Tigers of the Venezuelan Summer League (VSL). The following year, he played for the Connecticut Tigers in the short-season single-A Connecticut League.



In 2015, he was quickly added to the roster of the GCL Tigers, where he was honoured as a postseason All-Star. Because of his play, he was called up to play for the Western Michigan Whitecaps during the 2016 season.

In 2018, Azocar planned to split their time between West Michigan and Lakeland. The 2019 season would begin for him with the Erie Seawolves.

Azocar joined the San Diego Padres organization on November 18, 2020, and signed a minor league deal with them. Azocar made his debut in the major leagues on the same day, April 7, 2022, when he had his major league contract picked up and added to the squad.
