After the 2018 season, Suárez was added to the Angels’ 40-man roster. He was placed on the injured list to begin the 2019 season due to shoulder soreness, and when he returned, he was assigned to Salt Lake.

Suárez was promoted to the major leagues for the first time on June 2nd, and he made his major league debut against the Seattle Mariners, earning his first major league win.

He pitched 81 innings and allowed 23 home runs for a 7.11 ERA. Before being optioned off the roster in 2020, Suárez had a 38.57 ERA in two starts totaling 2.1 innings.

On May 10, Suárez faced the Houston Astros in his first major league game of the 2021 season. He only gave up one run in four innings.

In the 2021 Little League Classic, he was the starting pitcher. In a 3-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians, Suárez allowed three runs on four hits while striking out four batters.

Suárez pitched his first complete game on September 4, 2021, against the Texas Rangers, allowing only one run while striking out eight batters.
