Standing at a height of 1.85 meters, Joshua Adam Donaldson, a third baseman with the Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees, was born in the United States on December 8, 1985.



He has previously played for the Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays, and Oakland Athletics. After playing collegiate baseball at Auburn University, he was first selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 2007 MLB Draft.

In 2010, Donaldson made his Major League Baseball debut with the Athletics as a catcher. As he developed with the organization, he switched to third base and finally was named an All-Star in the 2014 MLB season.



Donaldson received the most fan votes of any player after being traded to the Blue Jays and was selected as the starter for the 2015 MLB All-Star Game. He was also awarded the American League’s Most Valuable Player for the 2015 MLB season.

In addition to winning the Silver Slugger Award, Donaldson topped the American League in both runs scored and runs batted in. In August 2018, he was dealt to the Indians, then in November that same year, he signed with the Braves as a free agent.

Donaldson signed a four-year contract with the Minnesota Twins on January 14, 2020, following a productive season with the Atlanta Braves in 2019.
