Joshua James is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Houston Astros in Major League Baseball.
James was born on March 8, 1993, in the United States (MLB). Before being selected by the Astros in the 34th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, he played collegiate baseball at Barry University and Western Oklahoma State College.
Afterwards, he was picked by the Astros. His career began in the major leagues in 2018, and his fastball has reached speeds of up to 102 miles per hour. He is the most recognized for this pitch.

At a marine science magnet school, South Broward High School in Hollywood, Florida, James was a three-year letterman in football.
He began throwing at the age of 16 while playing infield for the team. When he was playing for South Broward, he had the opportunity to play with former Washington Nationals and Seattle Mariners player Jose Marmolejos.
James was also a part of the South Broward High School basketball, golf, and track teams. He also played tennis for a short time.

In November 2013, while both James and Gabrielle Lopez were still students at Western Oklahoma State College, James began dating Gabrielle Lopez.
While Josh was a member of the baseball squad, Lopez was a member of the softball team. Noah, who was born in November 2018, and Sophia were both welcomed into the world by the couple (born July 2020).
The wedding took place in January of 2022 in Beaver Creek, Colorado. James and Lopez. They called a southwest Florida home during the off months of the year.
