As an offensive tackle with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, Joshua Jones, also known as Josh Jones, is an American football player. His height is 2.01 m, and his weight is 141 kg. He participated in basketball and football when a student at George Bush High School.
As a sophomore, he was named to the second team of the All-District 23-5A, and as a junior and senior, he was named to the first team. He was a three-star recruit when he graduated from high school. Prior to National Signing Day, he revealed his choice to attend the University of Houston after having previously committed to play collegiate football at Oklahoma State heading into his senior year.
He took part in the Houston Cougars football team while he was there. His true freshman year, he redshirted. In his redshirt freshman season, he started every one of the Cougars’ 13 games, and in his sophomore year, he started ten games while missing two due to a knee injury. Again as a junior redshirt, he started each of Houston’s 13 games.
He began nine games as left tackle as a redshirt senior, and the American Athletic Conference second team honored him for his performance. Jones received a 2020 Senior Bowl invitation following the conclusion of the current campaign. With the 72nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected him in the third round.
