He attended St. Mary’s High School for his high school education as well as his football career. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the University of Michigan, where from 2017 to 2021 he played college football for the Michigan Wolverines team.

He started each of the 14 games he played in as a linebacker during his senior year, and he led the defense with a team-high 106 tackles, including nine for loss and a shared sack. In order to earn his sixth varsity letter, he also intercepted two passes and hurried the quarterback eight times.

He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2022 NFL Draft.
