Josh Sills, also known as Joshua Matthew Sills in the professional sphere, plays offensive guard for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He was raised in Sarahsville, Ohio, where he was born on January 26, 1998. He played football there while attending Meadowbrook High School in Byesville. He studied at the University of West Virginia, where he redshirted his freshman year.

He participated in 13 games and started 10 of them as a freshman in 2017. He participated in 681 snaps and had the most knockdown blocks on the squad with 13. In 2018, he made 12 starts, participated in 970 plays, and finished the year as second-team All-Big 12 Conference.

Sills changed schools to Oklahoma State University in time for the 2020 season. In addition to being chosen for the Big 12 Conference’s first team, he started each of his 11 games that season. As a senior, he was chosen team captain and led Oklahoma State in knockdown blocks (41) and pancake blocks (21) to earn a position on the Big 12 first team for the second consecutive season.

He also received a nomination for the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year honor. The Philadelphia Eagles eventually signed him as an undrafted free agent even though he was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was one of three 2022 undrafted players—the other two were Josh Jobe and Reed Blankenship—who made the Eagles’ final roster.
