Josh Winder is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Minnesota Twins (MLB). Winder was born on October,11,1996 in Richmond, Virginia, and is currently 26 years old.
Winder played collegiate baseball at the Virginia Military Institute after graduating from James River High School in Midlothian, Virginia. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins.
Winder debuted in the minor leagues with the Elizabethton Twins and spent the 2019 season with the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Because the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he did not play a minor league game in 2020.
Winder began the 2021 season with the Wichita Wind Surge before being promoted to the St. Paul Saints midway through the year. Winder was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game in June 2021. Winder went 4–0 with a 2.63 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 14 starts between the two teams.
