In the National Football League, Justin Herron plays offensive lineman for the New England Patriots (NFL). He attended Wake Forest University and participated in the college football program there.
Herron graduated from Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, in 2014, where he played offensive line. He was also a member of the jazz band and played trumpet.
Despite interest from Boston College, Old Dominion, Rutgers, and Villanova, Herron, a 3-star recruit, chose to sign with Wake Forest.
In the first week of the 2018 season, Herron suffered an ACL tear. After returning for a further year to complete his graduate studies, he was given the role of team captain and was recognized by the ACC as a member of the third team.

The New England Patriots selected Herron in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, giving them the 195th overall pick in the process. Due to an injury to his ankle on October 31, 2020, he was sent to the injured reserve. On November 28, 2020, he was put on active duty.
