Justin Herron Parents: Meet Reggie and Brigitte Herron

Justin Herron

Justin Herron is an American football offensive tackle for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wake Forest.

Herron graduated from Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, in 2014, where he was an offensive lineman on the school’s varsity football team.

He also participated in baseball and basketball, and he was a trumpeter in the jazz band in addition to playing football.

Herron, a three-star prospect, chose Wake Forest over offers from Boston College, Old Dominion, Rutgers, and Villanova. Wake Forest was Herron’s final choice.

In the first week of the 2018 season, Herron suffered an ACL tear. After returning for a further year to complete his graduate studies, he was given the role of team captain and was recognized by the ACC as a member of the third team. He played in 51 games for Wake Forest, which was a school record.

The New England Patriots selected Herron in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, giving them the 195th overall pick in the process.

Due to an injury to his ankle on October 31, 2020, he was transferred to the injured reserve. On November 28, 2020, he became active in the organization.

His dad, Reggie, was a basketball player for Villanova University. His uncle Keith was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round of the 1978 NBA Draft. He spent a total of five seasons playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
