Justin Strnad joined the Denver Broncos in the fifth round with the 178th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The linebacker is currently in his third season with the team.
He started his football career at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Florida. As a senior, Strnad was selected by the Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times for the All-Pinellas County first team.
During his senior year of high school, he recorded 81 tackles, eight pass breakups, three sacks, and three interceptions. Strnad was a key contributor to the team’s 2013 and 2014 league and district titles.

Strnad sat out the first season at Wake Forest as a redshirt, but he ended up playing in all 13 games the next season. During his sophomore season, he continued to play on special teams as a reserve linebacker, but he led the Demon Deacons in special teams tackles and interceptions.
As a junior, he earned Honorable Mention status for all-ACC and moved into the starting lineup for the team. His senior year was cut short when he tore a tendon in his biceps during a game against Florida State in October.
