Justin Wilson’s full name is Justin James Wilson. He plays professional baseball as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team of Major League Baseball. Justin grew up in California where he had his high school amateur career at the Buchanan High School in Clovis, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him in the 37th round in the 126th overall pick of the 2005 MLB draft but he did not sign with them and chose to play for the Fresno State. Whiles in college, he was named to the College World Series All-Tournament Team where Fresno State won the 2008 College World Series.

Justin was drafted out of college by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifth round of the 2008 MLB draft. He agreed to play for them and signed with the Pirates. He made his professional debut in 2009 by playing for the Lynchburg Hillcats. In 2010, he played for the Altoona Curve and in 2011, he played for the Indianapolis Indians. The Pirates added him to their 40-man roster after the 2011 season to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.

The Pirates traded him to the New York Yankees in November 2014 and in December 2015, the Yankees traded him to the Detroit Tigers. The Yankees also traded him in July  2017 to the Chicago Cubs team. He resigned from the New York Yankees in February 2021. That same year in July, he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds.
