Justin Wilson

Justin Wilson is an American born professional baseball pitcher in the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. He has been with the Reds since he was traded to them in 2021 by the New York Yankees.

Justin has his non-professional baseball career at Buchanan High School in Clovis, California and Fresno State University. He was drafted out of college by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifth round of the 2008 MLB draft. He signed with the Pirates and started his professional career in 2009 by playing for the Lynchburg Hillcats.

In 2010, he played for the Altoona Curve and in 2011, he played for the Indianapolis Indians. The Pirates added him to their 40-man roster after the 2011 season to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.

The Pirates traded him to the New York Yankees in November 2014 and in December 2015, the Yankees traded him to the Detroit Tigers. On January 13, 2016, the Tigers avoided salary arbitration with him and agreed on a one-year contract of $1.525 million.

The New York Mets signed a two-year contract worth $10 million with him in January 2019. In February 2021, he signed a one-year contract with the New York Yankees who traded him in July 2021 to the Cincinnati Reds.
