Kai Nacua, full name Kaimana Nacua is one of the professional football players who plays as free safety for the New York Jets of the National Football League. Kai is 1.83 meters tall and weighs 93 kg. He was born on March 3, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada in the USA to Lionel Nacua, Penina Nacua.
Kais attended Liberty High school located in Henderson in Nevada. After high school, he enrolled at the Brigham Young University (BYU) where he played college football for the BYU Cougars football team. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns in May 2017 as an undrafted free agent. On September 3, 2017, they released him. The next day, they added him to their practice squad, then on September 8th, 2017, they elevated him to the active roster.
The Browns released Nacua in April 2018. The Baltimore Ravens picked him up off waivers in May 2018. In August 2018, the Ravens released him. In September 2018 he was re-signed to the practice squad, then in October he was dismissed. He joined the Carolina Panthers practice squad in December of that year. On December 31, 2018, he agreed to a reserve/future contract with the Panthers. In August of 2019, he was released.
He inked a contract with the Indianapolis Colts in the same month. Nacua was added to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad in November 2020 and moved up to the active roster on December 2. Nacua was signed by the New York Jets off the 49ers practice squad on December 23, 2021. On December 25, 2021, the Jets added him to the active roster.
