He played in his first regular-season game as a professional during the Cleveland Browns’ 21-18 season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. When the Los Angeles Chargers were defeated 19-10 on December 3, 2017, Nacua made his first tackle of the season.

After Derrick Kindred had a wrist injury the week before, Nacua received his first career start in Week 14. During the Browns’ 27-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers, Nacua made a season-high five solo tackles. In 16 games and three starts, he had 14 total tackles (12 solos) towards the end of the season.

On April 30, 2018, the Browns released Nacua. Nacua was signed by the New York Jets off the 49ers practice squad on December 23, 2021. On December 25, 2021, he received a promotion to the active roster.
