KaVontae Turpin is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU before joining the second iteration of the New Jersey Generals for the 2022 USFL season.
Neville High School, located in Monroe, Louisiana, was Turpin’s alma mater for high school. He finished his senior year with a total of 1,928 all-purpose yards, including 904 yards gained on the ground and 724 yards received, as well as 29 touchdowns.
He was named the All-State Offensive Player of the Year, All-Northeast Louisiana Offensive Player of the Year, and All-NELA Big School Offensive Player of the Year.
He received three stars as a recruit and was ranked as the 12th-best prospect in all of Louisiana. Turpin made his college decision on January 25, 2015, choosing TCU over Texas Tech, which had also offered him a scholarship.
