Khalil Lee is an American professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). At Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia, Lee was a standout pitcher and outfielder on the baseball team.

In his senior year, he had a 7–0 record, a 0.33 ERA, 87 strikeouts in 43 innings, six home runs, 23 RBIs, and a.634 OBP, along with a.941 SLG batting average.

For the state of Virginia, he was named Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. Lee had agreed to attend Liberty University and play baseball. The Kansas City Royals selected him in the third round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. Instead of going to college, he signed for $579,700 with the Royals.

The outfielder was his position with the Arizona League Royals, where the Royals assigned him, and in 49 games, he hit for them .269 at-bats with six home runs, 29 runs batted in, 43 runs scored, eight triples, and an.880 OPS.

In 121 games with the Lexington Legends in 2017, he batted.237 with 17 home runs, 61 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, and an OBP of.344 (on-base plus slugging).

After eight strikeouts against the Delmarva Shorebirds in a 21-inning game for the Legends in July of 2017, Lee set a new professional baseball record for strikeouts.
