A third baseman and outfielder for the Colorado Rockies baseball team, Kristopher Lee Bryant, also known as Kris Bryant, is a professional baseball player.

He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States on January 4, 1992. He participated in baseball for the school’s baseball team when a student at Las Vegas, Nevada’s Bonanza High School. In the 18th round of the 2010 MLB Draft, the Toronto Blue Jays selected him.

He declined their offer of a contract and enrolled at the University of San Diego to play college baseball with the San Diego Toreros. He was one of the players USA Baseball chose to represent the American collegiate national team while still a student at the university.

The Chicago Cubs chose him in the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft after he graduated from the university. A $6.7 million signing bonus was offered to him by the Cubs. With the Boise Hawks of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League, he made his professional baseball debut that year.

On April 17, 2015, the Cubs promoted him to the main leagues, and he made his MLB debut on that day. 2018 saw an agreement between Kris and the Cubs on a $10.85 million contract to avoid salary arbitration. He was acquired in a trade with the San Francisco Giants in July 2021, and in March 2022, he signed a seven-year, $182 million contract with the Colorado Rockies.
