Kwon Alexander

American football player Kwon Alexander plays linebacker for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He is 1.85 m tall and weighs 103 kg. He was born and raised in Oxford, Alabama. When he attended Oxford High School, he participated in football there. He participated in the Under Armour All-American Game for the black team.

He was chosen as a finalist for the High School Butkus Award, which is given annually to the nation’s best linebacker. He was also named to the 2011 ESPN All-Alabama Football Team and received an honorable mention on the Class 6A All-State Football Team. He played collegiate football for the LSU Tigers of Louisiana State University.

As a true freshman, he participated in seven games, starting two of them, and recorded 12 tackles. As a sophomore, he started nine of the 13 games. As a junior, he led the team in tackles with 92 while recording 1.5 sacks. After his junior year, he entered the 2015 NFL Draft. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He agreed to a $478,322 signing bonus and a four-year, $2.75 million contract with the Buccaneers in May 2015. In March 2019, he agreed to a four-year, $54 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers, which includes a $27 million guarantee. In November 2020, he was traded to the New Orleans Saints. In July 2022, he signed with the New York Jets.
