American pitcher Kyle Richard Freeland competes for the Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball at the moment. On May 14, 1993, he was born.

The Colorado Rockies picked him with the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft after he played baseball for Evansville University for four years.

Don and Susan Freeland, Freeland’s parents, welcomed him into the world on May 14, 1993, in Denver, Colorado. His older brother Colin is his lone sibling.

Freeland competed in a number of sports as a young athlete, but baseball and golf were his two strongest activities. In Denver, Colorado, at Thomas Jefferson, he completed his high school education.

The Philadelphia Phillies selected Freeland in the 35th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft; however, he chose to enrol at the University of Evansville rather than sign with the organization.

Freeland had a record of 4-5, a 4.55 earned run average (ERA), 70 strikeouts in 91 innings of work, and 91 innings pitched overall as a freshman in 2012. He made 14 starts that season.

He once again made 14 starts in 2013 as a sophomore, finishing with a record of 4-8, a 4.34 earned-run average, and 84 strikeouts in 93+1/3 innings thrown.

He continued playing for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League after the season was completed. He was selected as a league all-star during that period due to his 2.25 earned run average (ERA), 48 strikeouts, and other stats.
