American football tight end Kyle Anthony Pitts plays for the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons. He played college football for Florida, where he won the John Mackey Award in 2020 and was selected as an undisputed All-American.
Pitts later became the first rookie in his position to be named to the Pro Bowl in twenty years. Prior to transferring to Archbishop Wood Catholic High School in Warminster, Pennsylvania,
in 2016, Pitts first attended Abington Senior High School in Abington, Pennsylvania. On the football squad, he was a defensive end and a tight end.
In 2018 Under Armour All-America Game, Pitts participated. He made a commitment to play college football at Florida University.
He received the John Mackey Award for being the season’s best tight end in college football in addition to being selected as a unanimous All-American.
In the eight games that Pitts played during the COVID-19 pandemic-shortened 2020 season, he scored 12 touchdowns.
He has five receptions for 79 yards in his NFL debut against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. Against the New York Jets, Pitts hauled in nine passes for 119 yards and his first NFL touchdown.
His 163 receiving yards set a tight end single-game record for the Falcons organization. He had 68 receptions for 1,026 yards and a score towards the end of the season.
Pitts reached 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in NFL history in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills.
