Kyle Schwarber is an American professional baseball outfielder plying his trade for the Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball (MLB).



Before getting the chance to play baseball professionally, Kyle had played college baseball for the Indiana Hoosiers and was drafted in the first round of 2014’s MLB Draft.

Kyle Schwarber was chosen by the Chicago Cubs after playing collegiate football for the Indiana Hoosiers. Kyle Schwarber debuted with the Chicago Cubs in 2015, just a year after being drafted in 2014.



Schwarber was a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Wareham Gatemen (CCBL).

Schwarber was named the most valuable player in the playoffs after the Gatemen won the league championship. He was inducted into the CCBL Hall of Fame class of 2019 in June of this year.

Following his MLB selection, MLB.com analyst Bernie Pleskoff Schwarber described Kyle as a “game-changing” power-hitter. However, Pleskoff was critical of his base-running and fielding skills, commenting “Schwarber is sluggish on the bases and slow defensively”.

Kyle Schwarber was born on March 5, 1993, alongside four siblings. They are Jamin Schwarber, Kelly Schwarber, Alicia Schwarber and Lindsey Schwarber.

They were all born to Greg Schwarbera and Donna Schwarber.

Unlike, their brother Kyle who is known by the masses due to his baseball career, all the four siblings have since lived their lives away from the media.
