For the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, Kyler Murray plays quarterback professionally. He is 1.78 m tall and 94 kg in weight. He went to Allen High School, where he played football. He was the first player to get the title of Mr. Texas Football twice in 2014, when he was a senior and the Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

He was rated as the greatest dual-threat quarterback in his class and a five-star prospect by ESPN, Scout.com, and 247Sports. He made a commitment to play baseball and football for Texas A&M University in May 2014. After playing football with the Texas A&M Aggies for a year, he switched to the University of Oklahoma in December 2015.

He became a member of the Oklahoma Sooners football team at the University of Oklahoma. He passed for 308 yards and two throwing touchdowns against Alabama in the 2018 Orange Bowl. He became only the third Heisman Trophy winner to not get a unanimous vote from All-Americans.

He announced his intent to enter the 2019 NFL Draft in January 2019. The Arizona Cardinals picked Murray first overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. His NFL career began in September of this year. The Cardinals choose to execute his fifth-year option in April 2022. In July 2022, he decided to extend his contract with the Cardinals, agreeing to a five-year, $230.5 million deal.
