Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr. is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Jackson Jr. was born on January 7, 1997. (NFL).

After winning the Heisman Trophy at the University of Louisville, where he also played college football, he was taken by the Baltimore Ravens with the last pick of the first round in the 2018 NFL Draft.

During his first season with the Ravens, Jackson was promoted to the starting quarterback position and helped the team win the division title.



On January 7, 1997, Lamar Jackson made his debut into the world at Pompano Beach, Florida. When he was 8 years old, his father passed away from a heart attack on the same day that his grandmother also passed away.

Jackson received his education from the public school system and played football for the Pop Warner league alongside future teammate Marquise Brown.

When Jackson was a senior in high school, he had a football throwing record of 100 yards. At Boynton Beach High School,

Jackson was a standout player in the quarterback position. He completed passes for 2,263 yards and 31 touchdowns while also throwing nine interceptions

. In addition to this, he rushed for a total of 1,624 yards and scored 22 touchdowns while maintaining a quarterback rating of 102.7. In 2014, Jackson was honoured as the best high school athlete in Palm Beach County by being given the Lou Groza Award.

In 2005, when Jackson was only 8 years old, his grandmother and father both passed away on the same day. Jackson’s father passed away from a heart attack, while his grandmother passed away from cancer.
