Landon Collins’s Parents: Meet April Justin and Thomas Collins

In the National Football League, Landon Collins represents the New York Giants as a strong safety. He weighs 99 kg and is 1.83 m tall. While a student at Dutchtown High School, he excelled in both football and track. He excelled as a football defensive back All-American. He played collegiate football for the Alabama Crimson Tide while attending the University of Alabama after graduating from high school.

As a junior, he made each of his fourteen starts and finished first on the team in tackles with 98. The board’s prediction that he might be taken in the first round convinced him to declare for the 2015 NFL Draft after his junior season.

The New York Giants selected Collins in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. On March 13, 2019, he agreed to a six-year, $84 million deal with the Washington Redskins as an unrestricted free agent for the 2019 campaign. He had a team-high 12 tackles in Week 2’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys, which the Redskins suffered by a score of 31–21. He had a team-high 12 tackles against the Miami Dolphins in week 6 of the season.

For his efforts, he was named the NFC defensive player of the week. Collins re-joined the Giants on October 6, 2022, and joined their practice squad. He was promoted from the practice squad for the Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars during the same month.

Landon Collins is the son of Tom Collins and April Justin. His father used to be his football coach and is currently a station director at the Coastal Bridge Construction Company in Baton Rouge in Louisiana. His mother on the other hand currently lives in Florida.
