Lawrence Thomas Guy plays defensive tackle for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States on March 17, 1990. He went to Western High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he finished his three seasons with 238 tackles (171 solo), 30.5 sacks, and three fumble recoveries. He participated in collegiate football with the Arizona State Sun Devils at the university level.

He participated in all 12 of the season’s games as a true freshman, starting the final eight. 44 total tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery were all part of his stat line. Guy finished the season with 44 tackles, which was second-most among defensive tackles in the Pac-10.

The Green Bay Packers selected Guy in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He was on injured reserve for the entire season. He was added to the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad by the Green Bay Packers in October 2012. He was picked up off waivers by the San Diego Chargers in October 2013. Guy was taken off waivers by the Baltimore Ravens on September 24, 2014.

Guy and the New England Patriots agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract on March 11, 2017. He had 58 tackles and 1 sack in his first season with the Patriots. He recorded his first season sack against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7 of the 2020 campaign. He agreed to a four-year, $11.5 million contract extension with the Patriots in March 2021.
