L’Jarius Sneed joined the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round with the 138th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is currently in his third season with the team.

Sneed started playing competitive football at Minden High School in Webster Parish, Louisiana. Sneed was a two-way player who helped lead the team to a 9-3 record during his senior year. They advanced to the second round of the LHSAA 4A state playoffs, where they were defeated by Franklinton High School by a score of 35–34.

Sneed attended Louisiana Tech University and played four seasons of college football for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. During his freshman year at Louisiana Tech, Sneed made an impact after switching to cornerback. He scored a touchdown on an interception return in the Conference USA Championship Game against Western Kentucky.

Prior to switching to a permanent starting position during his junior season, he started roughly half the games at corner during his sophomore season. Before his senior year, he made the switch to free safety, and the move paid off: he was named to the all-C-USA second team. Sneed was also a part of the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in 2020.
