Lorenzo Cain is an American professional baseball center fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
In the 17th round of the 2004 MLB draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Cain out of Tallahassee Community College.
In 2005, he made his professional debut with the Helena Brewers of the Rookie League and the Arizona League Brewers.
Class A West Virginia Power, where he was selected to the South Atlantic League’s midseason and postseason All-Star teams in 2006, propelled him to the major league level in 2007.
In 2007, Cain was promoted to the Brevard County Manatees’ Class A-Advanced team.
Outfielder Hernán Iribarren was recalled by Milwaukee and Cain was brought up to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds to replace him on June 10.
When Doug Davis, the Brewers’ starting pitcher, went on the disabled list on July 16th, 2010, Cain was called up to the big leagues.
That night, he made his major league debut as a pinch hitter against the Atlanta Braves.
