Lorenzo Cain, full name Lorenzo Lamar Cain is an American-born professional baseball centre fielder. He is currently a free agent. He was born on April 13, 1986, in Valdosta, Georgia in the United States of America. 

Lorenzo began playing baseball professionally in 2005 when he was drafted out of college by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 17th round of the 2004 MLB draft. In the 2005 minor league season, he played for both the Rookie League Helena Brewers and AZL Brewers. In 2006, the Brewers promoted him to the Class A West Virginia Power, where he was named to the South Atlantic League’s mid and post-season All-Star teams.

During the 2007 season, he was promoted again to the Brewers’ Class A-Advanced Brevard County Manatees. He spent 2008 in Brevard County where he was called up to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. The Brewers promoted him to the major leagues in 2010 and he made his MLB debut for the team on July 16, 2010, when they played against the Atlanta Braves.

The Brewers traded his contract in December 2010 to the Kansas City Royals. In January 2018, he returned to the Brewers and signed a five-year contract worth $80 million. He was named to the 2018 MLB All-Star Game. In June 2022, he cleared waivers.
