A linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, Lorenzo Carter is a professional football player. He stands 1.96 meters tall and weighs 114 kilograms. He went to Norcross High School, where he was well-known for playing football. After his senior year in 2013, he was selected for the USA Today All-USA high school football team.

At the University of Georgia, he participated in collegiate football for the Georgia Bulldogs football team. He made five starts in 13 games as a true freshman, earning him the University of Georgia newcomer of the year honor. With the 66th overall choice in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the New York Giants picked Carter.

He forced a fumble that his teammate Markus Golden was able to recover against the New England Patriots in week six of the 2019 campaign. With 4.5 sacks, he placed second on the team for the entire season. He was the Giants’ first-choice pass rusher before the 2020 season got underway.

He ruptured his Achilles in Week 5, and on October 19 he was put on injured reserve to finish the season. Carter intercepted his first career pass from Dak Prescott in Week 5 of the 2021 campaign against the Dallas Cowboys. On March 22, 2022, he consented to sign with the Atlanta Falcons for a season.
