The Minnesota Twins signed international free agent Luis in 2013. In 2014, he signed a contract with the Dominican Summer League Twins and started playing professionally. He played for the GCL Twins in 2015 and the Cedar Rapids Kernels in the minor league season in 2016.

He played for the Fort Myers Miracle in 2017, and both the Chattanooga Lookouts and Fort Myers in 2018. He got promoted to the Rochester Red Wings during the minor league season of 2019 after playing with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
