Luis Miguel Guillorme Gonzalez plays infield for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Guillorme grew up in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas.

His grandparents were Spanish immigrants, and he was a dual citizen of both Spain and Venezuela.

He fashioned his game after Omar Vizquel, a native of Caracas when he was a kid. His family moved to Davie, Florida, in 2007 to start a new life.

Guillorme hit .565 with 34 runs batted in as a senior at Coral Springs Charter School in Coral Springs, Florida. He has committed to State College of Florida, Manatee–Sarasota, to play college baseball.

Guillorme was drafted in the tenth round of the 2013 MLB draft by the New York Mets. He hit .258/.337/.283 with 11 RBIs in 41 games for the Gulf Coast Mets in his first professional season.

He hit .283 with 17 RBIs in sixty games with the Kingsport Mets and Savannah Sand Gnats in 2014. In 122 games, he hit .381 with 55 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, and a .746 OPS, earning him the South Atlantic League MVP award.

In qualifying for the 2017 World Baseball Classic, Guillorme started at shortstop for the Spanish national team.

In 2016, he hit .263 with one home run and 46 RBIs for the St. Lucie Mets, and in 2017, he hit .283 with one home run, 43 RBIs, and a.706 OPS for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
