Luis Urías

Mexican professional baseball player Luis Urias is also known by his full name, Luis Fernando Urias Figueroa. For the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, he is an infielder. His height is 1.75 m.

Magdalena de Kino, Mexico’s Maria Trinidad Figueroa Esquer and Ramón Urias welcomed Luis into the world on June 3, 1997. After being signed by the San Diego Padres as an international free agent in December 2013, he started playing baseball professionally in 2014. He was given the Rookie League Dominican Summer League Padres to play for during the 2014 minor league season.

He was moved up to the Rookie League Arizona League Padres during the current campaign. In 2014 and 2015, he further participated in the Yaquis de Obregon of the Mexican Pacific Winter League. He participated in the 2015 season for both the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps and the Class A Tri-City Dust Devils.

He participated in 2016 with the Class A+ Lake Elsinore Storm and the Class AAA El Paso Chihuahuas of the Pacific Coast League. He will represent Mexico in the 2017 World Baseball Classic after being chosen by MLB. On August 28, 2018, he made his MLB debut for the Padres. He was acquired by the Milwaukee Brewers in a trade in November 2019 and has since played for them.
