Luke Williams is an infielder and outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball (MLB). Williams was named to the US national team roster for the 2020 Summer Olympics qualifying tournament in May 2021.

He started all four games for Squad USA and led the squad in batting average (.444), runs scored (six), and RBIs (six) (six).

Mark and Jeannie Williams have a son named Luke Williams. He is the eldest of three siblings, the other two being brothers and a sister. Williams was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, and reared in Orange County, California.

He went to Dana Hills High School and competed in baseball, football, and track and field. In his junior season, Williams stole 26 bases, shattering the Dana Hills school record.

Williams did not participate in a game in 2020 since the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic. He was a member of the Adelaide Giants in the Australian league’s winter league.

Williams was selected the best overall player in the Phillies’ minor league system heading into the 2021 season, and he was sent to the AAA Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
