American football quarterback Michael McCorkle “Mac” Jones plays for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He wears jersey number 10 for the Patriots. He is 97 kilograms and 1.91 meters tall. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 5, 1998, in the United States. Under the direction of head coach Corky Rogers, he participated in high school football at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2015, he led Bolles to the state regional final during his junior year. He guided Bolles to the Florida 4A championship as a senior in 2016, throwing for 1,532 yards and 29 touchdowns. He received a scholarship to play football for the University of Alabama’s Alabama Crimson Tide.
The New England Patriots selected Jones in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the fourth Alabama player picked in the first round and the last of five quarterbacks. On July 6, 2021, he signed a four-year rookie deal worth $15.6 million that was completely guaranteed.
He was second in the voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year behind Ja’Marr Chase and was nominated to the 2021 PFWA All-Rookie Team for his efforts in his rookie season.
