The Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League have cornerback Franklin “Mac” McCain III on their team. The Broncos signed him in 2021; he was a North Carolina A&T undrafted free-agent football player.
Greensboro, North Carolina, is where Mac McCain was born on February 6, 1998. His final two seasons at James B. Dudley High School saw him make 96 tackles, earning him honorable mention all-area honors. He then graduated from there.
McCain was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent after being passed over in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was released on August 29 and afterward included in the practice squad.
He was added to the active roster on September 7, 2021, after being claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles.
In week three, he played 13 special teams snaps in the Dallas Cowboys loss (21-41), marking his NFL debut. His release date was November 9.
