Malik Harrison plays football professionally and is an inside linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Malik weighs 112 kg and stands 1.91 m tall. At Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, Ohio, he participated in both basketball and football. He played the position of utility on the football field.
During his senior season in 2015, in addition to his 40 tackles and five sacks, he carried for 897 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground and threw passes for 1,161 yards and eight more. He decided to play college football at Ohio State University after his senior year. He took part in the university’s Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
As a rookie at Ohio State, he played in 12 contests. As a sophomore in 2017, he played in all 14 of Ohio State’s contests, compiling 36 tackles and two sacks. In 2018, his junior year, he made his debut. He finished the season tied for first on the team in tackles with 81 and added 8.5 tackles for loss. He was mentioned in the Big Ten Conference with honors.
He was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He and the team reached a four-year rookie contract on July 13, 2020. He was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on November 3, 2020, and he was activated four days later.
