Malik Hooker, a safety for the Dallas Cowboys is in his fifth season as an NFL player and his second as a Cowboy. After Hooker graduated from college, it was found that he had surgery for a sports hernia and a hip labrum tear. He underwent two procedures in February 2017 to treat a hernia and a torn labrum.

Although he was there at the NFL Scouting Combine, he was unable to take part in any of the exercises. He was ranked the second-best safety in the draft and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round (15th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

How Good Is Malik Hooker?

Malik Hooker has only been with the Cowboys for one and a half seasons but has already been phenomenal.



During Sunday’s game against the Eagles, Hooker led the team with 12 tackles (including 10 solo stops).

The seasoned safety not only tied his own career high for tackles, which he had previously attained as a Colt in 2018 but also set a season-high.

In just six games, Hooker has recorded 34 tackles. If he can stay healthy, he will surpass his previous personal best of 51 tackles over 13 games achieved in 2019.
