Marco Wilson Parents: Meet Chad Wilson and Carmen Wilson

Marco Wilson

Marco Wilson is a professional football player who plays cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He weighs 87 kg and stands 1.83 m tall. He was a member of the American Heritage School football squad. He turned down offers to play collegiate football at other universities in favor of Florida.

He played college football for the University of Florida’s Florida Gators from 2017 to 2020. As a true freshman, he had 34 tackles and broke up 10 passes. He was named to the third team of the SEC before the start of his sophomore season. Sadly, he tore his ACL two games into the season and had to sit out the rest of it.

As a redshirt sophomore, he recorded 36 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, 3 interceptions, and 2 passes deflected. On December 12, 2020, late in a game, he had a notable incident as a junior in which he threw a shoe in celebration, which resulted in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. In the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Wilson was taken by the Arizona Cardinals with the 136th overall pick.
