In the NFL, Mark Andrews plays football professionally. For the football club of the Baltimore Ravens, he is a tight end. He is 116 kg and 1.96 m tall. He was reared in Scottsdale, Arizona, and went to Desert Mountain High School. In his final season there as a wide receiver, he hauled in 68 catches for 1,122 yards and 17 touchdowns.

He has 58 receptions for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore. He recorded 81 receptions for 1,494 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior. To play college football, Andrews committed to the University of Oklahoma. He played football from 2014 through his senior year of competition with the Oklahoma Sooners in 2017.

At the University, he moved from tight end to wide receiver. He was the John Mackey Award winner in 2017. Early in January 2018 it was revealed that Andrews would skip his senior year at Oklahoma in favor of the 2018 NFL Draft. Andrews concluded his three years at Oklahoma with the most receiving yards among tight ends and the sixth-highest total of touchdown catches among all receivers.

In the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected him. He and the Ravens reached an agreement on a $4.45 million, four-year contract in May 2018 that also included a $836,660 signing bonus. Andrews and the Ravens came to terms on a $40.6 million, guaranteed $37.6 million contract in September 2021.
