After completing high school, he enrolled at Wake Forest University and played college football for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons team.
He was taken by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 168th overall. He signed a four-year, $2.65 million contract with the Raiders in May 2017, which also included a signing bonus of $253,963. In the Oakland Raiders’ season-opening game against the Tennessee Titans, he made his regular season debut in the NFL and made his first career start. He made two solo tackles in their 26-16 victory.
In March 2021, he agreed to a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. In August 2021, he was freed. He was added to the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad in September 2021. On November 3, 2021, he was once again upgraded to the active roster. Lee signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in March 2022. On August 16, 2022, he was released.
