Thompson Mason(born on February 20, 1998) is a professional American baseball pitcher for the Washington Nationals of the major league baseball. He was previously signed by the San Diego Padres after he finished his high school education at the Round Rock High school in Texas in the third round of the 85th overall of the 2016 MLB draft.



Thomson had unfortunately been injured when he was a junior and had to undergo Tommy John and had the opportunity to pitch only one inning as a senior. Thompson made his professional debut with the Arizona League Padres getting 12 innings of 2.25 ERA ball.

He played for the Single-A Fort Wayne TinCaps, posting a 2-4 record and 4.67 in seven appearances in 2017. In 2019, he also played for the High A Lake Elsinore Storm and only appeared in seven games in the who season due to an injury and posted a 0-5 record and 7.66ERA.



There were no games for Thompson as the minor league games were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.

On July,20,2021, Thompson was traded to the Washinton Nationals in exchange for Daniel Hudson. He was activated the next day and made his Nationals debut on August 2.
