Matt Duffy, born Matthew Michael Duffy is a professional baseball player with the Los Angeles Angels baseball team. He serves as a third baseman for the team. He grew up in Long Beach California where he had his high school amateur career at Lakewood High School.

He enrolled at the Long Beach State University where he played college baseball for the school. Before he graduated from college, he played in the Cape Cod League with the Orleans Firebirds and was named a league All-Star. He graduated in 2012 and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants that year in the 18th round of the 2012 MLB draft.

He signed with them and made his professional debut that year with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League. Matt made his MLB debut for the Giants on August 1, 2014.

The Tampa Bay Rays purchased his contract from the Giants in August 2016. He played for the Rays till 2019. He signed a minor league contract in January 2020 with the Texas Rangers and in June that year, he signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees. He signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million with the Los Angeles Angels in March 2022.
