Matt Duffy Parents: Meet Tom Duffy and Cathy Duffy

Matthew Michael Duffy, professionally known as Matt Duffy and nicknamed “Duffman”, is a professional baseball player with the Los Angeles Angels baseball team. He serves as a third baseman for the team and has been with them since March 2022.

He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 18th round of the 2012 MLB draft. He signed with them and made his professional debut that year with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League.

The following year, during the 2013 minor league season, he spent the season with the Augusta GreenJackets of the Class A South Atlantic League and the San Jose Giants of the Class A-Advanced California League. He spent the 2014 season with the Richmond Flying Squirrels of the Double-A Eastern League.

That year in August, the Giants promoted him to the major leagues and he made his MLB debut on August 1, 2014, for the Giants. In June 2020, he signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees. He became a free agent in November 2020 and in December that year, he signed with the Chicago Cubs.
