Matt Farniok is a center who competes in professional football for the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys. He is 1.96 m tall and 141 kg in weight. Washington High School was where he went to school and played football in high school. He was an offensive line starter as a sophomore. He was named to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader’s Elite 45 as a junior and won Class 11AAA All-state recognition.
He assisted in the team’s state championship as a senior. He was named the South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year, as well as receiving Class 11AAA All-state, first-team Parade All-American, and Elite 45 honors from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. Coming out of high school, 247Sports.com had him listed as a three-star recruit.
He was a college football player for the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the University of Nebraska. In his seven games as a redshirt freshman, he started four of them. He made two starts each at right guard and right tackle. He was chosen to start at right tackle as a sophomore, contributing to the team’s 456.2-yard average total offense.
As a junior right tackle, he started each of his 12 games. Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, he participated in 8 games as a senior in 2020. In the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Farniok with the 238th overall choice. In May 2021, he signed a rookie contract with the Cowboys.
