In addition, he was a member of the United Football League for both the Florida Tuskers and the Omaha Nighthawks.

In 2010, he was recognized as the finest long snapper in the UFL after being named to the list of the top 10 players in the United Football League (UFL).

In 2013, while playing for the Indianapolis Colts, Overton was selected to play in the Pro Bowl. Overton received his junior college education at Diablo Valley College, which is located in Pleasant Hill, California.

He was a two-year starter at defensive end and long snapper at Western Washington University, where he also served as team captain.
