Matt Overton is an American football long snapper, who was born in San Leandro, California, on July 6, 1985. Overton joined the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad on October 4, 2022. Overton was added to the active roster on October 15, 2022.Following his time at Diablo Valley College, he played college football for Western Washington before being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in 2007. As a member of the Indianapolis Colts, Overton also participated in the 2013 Pro Bowl.

Overton played football for the Bulldogs at Tracy High School in Tracy, California, where he was a two-way starter for the Bulldogs for four years. At Diablo Valley College, Overton started playing collegiate football.

Overton took part in af2 matches for the Tri-Cities Fever in 2008. He helped the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League to an undefeated season in 2009 and took part in the first UFL championship.

On April 3, 2012, Overton signed with the Indianapolis Colts. He was mostly employed as a long snapper after being chosen for the Pro Bowl in 2013.

On March 3, 2015, Overton and the Colts reached an agreement on a four-year contract deal.
On May 1st, 2017, the Colts released him.
